💔 GIZMO’s Story – Thrown Away Like Rubbish
Three tiny puppies were found dumped inside a bag near a rubbish skip.
They were discovered just in time.
The local “Animal Police” collected them and took them to the Communal Pound — a place where their chances of survival were heartbreakingly low.
Thankfully, a kind volunteer stepped forward, took the three babies home and bottle-fed them around the clock until they were strong enough to grow.
GIZMO came into our care soon after.
His two sisters were taken by another charity and have already been adopted into loving families.
Now it is his turn.
He survived abandonment.
He survived the pound.
He survived because someone cared.
Now he deserves permanence.

🐶 About GIZMO
GIZMO is everything you hope for in a young dog.
He is:
• Friendly with everyone he meets
• Excellent with children
• Very social with other dogs
• Playful, cheerful and affectionate
• Intelligent and eager to learn
• Confident without being pushy
He has grown into a lovely, balanced young boy.
He currently weighs around 25 Kg and is a well-proportioned medium-sized dog.
From his structure and expression, he appears to have a Shepherd-type influence combined with a softer mixed-breed line — meaning loyalty, intelligence, adaptability and strong bonding ability.
He would thrive in:

✔ Even alongside dog-savvy cats
He adjusts beautifully.

We do NOT supply:

Regardless of how “noble” the intention may sound.
Our rescue dogs are companions — not tools.
We are a fully transparent and genuine rescue. In most cases, including GIZMO’s, we do not even cover our full costs.
We receive a very high number of casual enquiries.
We simply cannot afford to waste time.
Please — serious applications only.
No timewasters.
This boy has already been discarded once.
We will not let that happen again.

🚗 Adoption & Transport
We can bring GIZMO almost anywhere in the country.
Alternatively, you are welcome to meet him in Calverton, NG14 6NY.
You do not pay a penny until you meet him and are happy to proceed.

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
