Selling due to a family member getting a kitten which focuses on macaw. No fault of his own. Zazu is a lovely macaw. I’ve known many parrots over my lifetime and I can honestly say Zazu is the perfect parrot. He is 11 years old well and healthy. Lovely feathers. He cares for himself, even trims his own nails when they are long! He honestly is amazing. He is silly tame once he’s bonded with you. He lets me touch him anywhere and has never bitten me! If he doesn’t like something and is angry rather than bite you he goes and takes anger out on his toys! He has a big cage which will be included. He honestly is such a lovely boy. He can fly but chooses not to, when you have him out of the cage he just spends his time on his cage and never flies anywhere. Just stays on his cage. He can fly but chooses not to. He is on a 3 mixture diet, pellets, seeds mix and tropical fruit mix. I will explain the ratio to the new owner. I’m in no rush to sell him and will be extremely picky on choosing who he goes to for I want him to find his forever home and go to someone who will care for him and give him the attention he deserves. He talks and says hello a lot, his favorite thing to say. He can say other things such as hello zazu and rarely says what are you doing. He’s not much of a talker but only talks when he wants to. He can be loud when his favorite person leaves the room and he calls for them or when something spooks him he can get very loud. But other than that he is extremely quiet and doesn’t t vocalise much. He will come with his cage which is mandatory unless you have a bigger better cage of your own. Price is fixed. There is so much more I could write about him but this has already gotten long enough. Oh one thing I do need to stress is that he is a one person parrot. He will choose a favorite and with that person be silly tame and loving but won’t be nice to other family members. Please consider this. To know you’ve read most of this could you include code word “apple” in your message. Ideally I would want him to go to someone who has a lot of time at home who will let him out his cage throughout most of the day if possible and give him company and someone who doesn’t have any other pets. Don’t feel offended if I ask you a bunch of questions if you show interest in him as I really want him to go to the best home as this is an extremely sad sale for me.
