Rufus is our 4 year old proven stud . He is a kind gentle boy comes from a family with young children and other pets he really is a kind soul his beautiful and unique markings he is stunning. He has recently just done his 1 st stud and she has had 5 very health pups with some great markings of you would like to know more please contact me . He is not kc. I know family history have photos of his mother and father etc to avoid interbreeding . Also will not breed with other dapples due to health issues that this can cause .

Pros
Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained
Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
