Beautiful male lop rabbit looking for a loving new home
This is a very difficult decision, but I’m sadly looking for a new home for my beautiful male lop rabbit. I’ve had him since 21st August 2024, and I want to make sure he finds the caring, knowledgeable home he deserves.
He is a lovely, gentle bunny with a sweet personality. He enjoys head strokes, relaxing near his people, and spending time around those he trusts. He’s also a very cute little guy, with beautiful white colouring and darker markings around his eyes and ears that make him especially distinctive.
Like many rabbits, he doesn’t enjoy being picked up, so he would suit a patient owner who understands rabbit behaviour and will respect his boundaries, allowing him to approach and build trust in his own time.
He has a lovely character and his own little ways of showing affection. He sometimes gives gentle little nips or nudges to get your attention, which is his way of interacting and communicating with you. As he is not neutered, he can also sometimes display natural hormonal behaviours, such as humping. This is normal rabbit behaviour, and any future owner should be aware of this and be patient and understanding with him.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to bond with my other rabbit and has been kept separately since I got him. Because of this, I feel he would be happiest as a single house rabbit or with someone experienced in rabbit care and bonding. He is not neutered.
He is an indoor-only rabbit and enjoys having lots of freedom and space. He is not a naughty bunny — he is very relaxed and loves spending time under sofas, lounging around, and being near his people. He also enjoys having outdoor time for around 1–2 hours when it is safe and suitable.
His ideal home would allow him to free roam throughout the day with plenty of space to explore, play and relax. At night, he is used to sleeping in an enclosed area where he feels secure and comfortable.
He is not currently litter trained, so his new owner would need to be patient and willing to work with him on this. His diet consists of fresh hay and pellets (I will provide the specific pellet brand and feeding information to his new owner so his routine can stay consistent).
He will come with:
* His bottle
* Food bowl
* Toys
* His current food
I’m rehoming him because keeping my rabbits permanently separated means I’m not able to give him the time, attention and companionship he deserves. My priority is finding him a loving forever home where he will have plenty of space, enrichment, care and affection.
Before he goes to his new home, I would like to see where he will be living and his setup, including the space he will have access to, to make sure it is suitable for him. I would also like to meet and speak with any potential owner to make sure they understand his personality, routine and needs.
I would really appreciate receiving updates and photos after he moves, as it would mean a lot to know how he is settling in and that he is happy.
Please only enquire if you can offer him a kind, responsible, lifelong home and are committed to providing him with the care, attention and space he deserves. I want him to go to someone who truly understands rabbits and will treat him as part of the family.
This is not a decision I have made lightly. He is a very special little bunny, and I hope to find someone who will love him as much as I do.
