Description
14.3h/15h Welsh sec d (breeding unrecorded, on a standard passport ) 10yo chestnut gelding. I bought Sol as an unbacked 4yo and in the 6 1/2 years since then I have backed ridden away and done a bit of everything with him. He has been produced slowly, carefully and broadly with longevity and versatility in mind. He is a lovely smart little horse and extremely well thought of by myself and anyone involved with him. He hacks alone and in company and is used to traffic, he is a forward going ride and can jig jog, so would need a confident rider, he isn’t silly and doesn’t do anything else with it, and will pull up wether in front or behind, in fields etc, he just likes to have a job and would need a like minded partner who wants to have some fun. Schools in all 3 paces, has done show jumping, xc, fun rides, hunt rides, beach rides, pc, rc, camps, clinics,hunting, a true allrounder. He has also been ridden by competent junior riders.
He turns out with mares or geldings and does enjoy company so a home with other horses is a must, currently stabled over night in winter and turned out during the day and out 24/7 in summer and has been in this routine for all of my ownership.
He is good to groom, tack up, tie up, muck out around, clip, for the farrier, to catch, to load etc (I take him out regularly on my own).
His ideal home would be some where that he can enjoy a bit of everything as he has done with me. He is a great fun little horse that would suit a lot of people but he isn’t a plod/kick along so please only capable riders who would enjoy something forward going!
Up to date with everything, (teeth and vacs done Jan 26). No known health issues. Fit and in full work.
