Bred by breeders with 26 years experience of breeding Leonbergers. Ready now. One bitch available. She can only be viewed with her mother as her sire lives elsewhere. She is stunning, vet checked, vaccinated (1st), part crate trained - with an amazing temperament.
She will make an ideal family pet / companion.
Mum is Ellie (Kjalarnes Ellen White). Her puppy is used to all sorts of home noises and human interaction.
The Sire is Thorin- a beautiful, sociable imported dog (Judges Den Conquest Thorin at Pagency).
Both parents are either fully health tested or clear by parentage – hips,elbows, LPN1, 2 & 3, LEMP plus eye tested for cataracts and glaucoma. Both have excellent temperaments. This puppy comes from multiple generations of health tested dogs.
ABOUT US - Kjalarnes is a small, established show/breeding kennel - based in the heart of England just five minutes from the Birmingham NEC. We have owned Leonbergers since 1997 and are highly experienced with the breed.
REARING PUPPIES - We were Kennel Club Assured breeders for many years until the RKC disbanded their Assured Breeder Scheme. We are currently members of both of the two Leonberger breed clubs - the Leonberger Club of Great Britain and the Leonberger Association. This litter is the 7th continuous generation of Leonbergers bred by us - this line stretches back to our foundation bitch Ayesha (Vannroy de Pompadour at Kjalarnes born in 1998) All of the seven generations have been bred from parents who have passed the recommended health tests.
We aim for the highest standards of care and welfare for our puppies – which includes regular worming. Puppies are always reared and socialised in our home with lots of handling and personal attention.
Puppies are fully health monitored from birth (records can be seen) and are checked by our vet prior to leaving for their new homes.
We aim to produce healthy, happy puppies with good temperaments, - ideal for families.
CONTRACT OF SALE - All Kjalarnes puppies are sold with a contract of sale guaranteeing the rights of the new owner plus a commitment to the future welfare of the puppy. Puppies are additionally provided with 4 weeks free insurance.
ONGOING SUPPORT : We aim to provide ongoing support to new owners, whether it is to give advice over the phone or to help on site with grooming or behavioural problems. Several puppies have returned for holidays. In recent years the majority of our puppies have gone to homes already owning a dog we have bred.
The future welfare of puppies bred by us is paramount when placing them in new homes. Owning a giant breed puppy requires special commitment and to this end we reserve the right not to sell a puppy to a home where we feel its welfare will be compromised. We are confident about the service we provide and the condition of our dogs and puppies.
