Azara is truly a dream of a dog — stunning both in appearance and in nature. Smallish in size, beautiful, loving and friendly, and never demanding. She accepts every moment of affection with gratitude. And yet… she keeps waiting. Another “invisible” dog with no fault of her own.
I genuinely don’t understand how such a wonderful dog can still be waiting. If Azara is not good enough — then what are people looking for?
💕 Azara is a 3-year-old small-to-lower-medium girl with a gentle, balanced nature and striking beauty — one blue eye and one amber.
✨ Highlights ✨
• SIZE: Small to lower-medium (40–42 cm / 12–14 kg)
• SPAYED: Yes
• CHARACTER: Calm • Gentle • Friendly • Balanced • Affectionate
• DOGS: Very friendly and playful; may be too much for very timid or elderly small dogs
• CATS: Not tested
• CHILDREN: Suitable for children 8+
• HOME LIFE: Calm and undemanding indoors; joyful and active outdoors
🐶 Azara is currently in foster and this is what her family says:
“Azara is a very friendly dog. She is active and would benefit from hour-long walks multiple times a day. She is excellent with other dogs — she plays beautifully with our puppy and is very gentle.
She would benefit from a friendly, confident resident dog, as she is very social and may be too much for a traumatised or timid dog.
She has some separation anxiety, which is why another dog companion could really help her. As I work from home I’ve noticed she has learned to open internal doors — she is very clever and simply wants to be with people.
She is very interested in wildlife and livestock, so an experienced handler is needed as she can pull on the lead. But once she has had enough exercise she is perfectly happy resting in her bed.
She doesn’t bark or howl when left alone but may scratch at the door. She sleeps quietly downstairs through the night. She really thrives on a stable routine. She is such a wonderful and lovely dog.”
💔 Background
Azara’s life has already been touched by loss. She was adopted as a puppy into a loving home, but when the war began her owner went to defend his country and was tragically killed. With everything collapsing around them, the remaining family had no choice but to return Azara to rescue.
She carried this quietly. No drama, no demands — just waiting patiently for life to become stable again.
🐾 More About Azara
At home, Azara is calm, polite and well-mannered. She settles easily in her bed and does not constantly demand attention — though she happily enjoys cuddles when invited and can absolutely be a lap dog too.
Outdoors she becomes joyful and lively. She loves long walks, exploring, running and socialising with other dogs. She is confident and cheerful outside and enjoys being active.
🏡 Ideal Foster / Family
Azara would do best in an active home where she can enjoy long walks and regular exercise. A friendly, confident resident dog would be ideal for her, helping her feel secure and providing companionship.
She will thrive with people who appreciate a dog who is affectionate but not needy, playful but balanced, and intelligent enough to learn quickly.
🩺 Health Information
Azara is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed.
All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (licensed laboratory test certificate provided).
Important note: Azara has an old tendon injury in one back leg. It does not cause pain, does not require treatment and does not affect her quality of life. She runs, jumps and plays happily. This is simply a small physical difference, not a medical problem.
