đž Meet Teddy đž
Some dogs have difficult pasts.
Some have lived on the streets, gone hungry, or had to fight to survive.
Teddyâs story is different.
He has never known cruelty. He has never known hunger. Since being rescued as a tiny puppy, he has always been cared for and treated with kindness.
But Teddy has also never known what it feels like to belong to a family.
Taken into a Romanian shelter during the Covid pandemic when he was just a few months old, Teddy has spent almost his entire life behind kennel walls. While the world carried on around him, Teddy grew up watching life happen from the same small space.
His kennel mate has recently found a wonderful home and has begun his own journey into family life.
Now it is Teddyâs turn.
To give him that chance, Teddy has recently travelled to the UK to begin a new chapter and finally find the loving home he has spent years waiting for.
Letâs not keep him waiting in a kennel any longer.

Teddy is a big, handsome boy with an incredibly gentle nature. Despite his size and strength, he has never shown any aggression towards people or other dogs.
What Teddy lacks isnât kindness.
Itâs experience.
He has never lived in a house. Everyday things that most dogs take for grantedâtelevisions, washing machines, stairs, vacuum cleaners, traffic, visitors, busy streets and all the sights and sounds of family lifeâare completely new to him.
The big, wide world is a place Teddy has barely experienced, so it is only natural that he may find it overwhelming at first.
He wonât arrive knowing how to be somebodyâs pet overnight.
Like many dogs who have spent years in a shelter, Teddy will need a period of gentle rehabilitation while he learns that the world is a safe place and begins to build confidence in everything around him. That rehabilitation isnât about âfixingâ Teddyâthere is nothing wrong with him. It is simply about patiently introducing him to a life he has never had before.
đĄ Teddyâs Ideal Home
We believe Teddy would thrive in a quieter rural or semi-rural home where he wonât immediately be faced with busy roads, heavy traffic and constant activity.
A secure, reasonably sized garden is important, giving him a safe place to explore, relax and build confidence before gradually experiencing more of the outside world.
He will need an experienced owner who understands that progress may come in small steps and is prepared to let Teddy learn at his own pace. With patience, consistency and kindness, we believe he has the potential to flourish.
Watching Teddy experience life for the first time will be something truly special.
The first time he discovers how comfortable a dog bed is.
The first time he plays with a toy.
The first time he relaxes in the garden.
The first time he chooses to rest his head beside you because he finally knows he is safe.
These are moments that most dog owners never get to experience, and for the right person they will make every bit of patience worthwhile.
Teddy walks on a lead and generally walks well, although he is a large, strong boy and can become enthusiastic at times. He will need someone physically capable of handling him while continuing to build his confidence and introduce him to the world around him.
Teddy is available for adoption, but we also believe he would benefit enormously from an experienced foster home willing to help him begin this rehabilitation journey. An experienced foster home could give Teddy the opportunity to learn everyday routines, discover home life and prepare him for the forever family he has waited so patiently to find.
We know Teddy wonât be the right dog for everyone.
But for the right person, he has the potential to become one of the most rewarding companions imaginable.
He doesnât need someone to rescue him from his past.
He needs someone willing to help him build the future heâs never had.
If you think you could offer Teddy the patient, understanding homeâor experienced foster homeâthat could change his life forever, weâd love to hear from you.
After waiting almost four years, Teddyâs new life is finally within reach.
Letâs make sure his next stop is home.
