⭐️ Meet Sanchez ⭐️
🏡 Sanchez is in foster with us in the West Midlands
❤️ He is a 7 year old male, on the larger side of medium (24kg), and a mixed breed.
❤️ Sanchez has spent most of his life in a rescue, he had likely never lived in a home before or been a loved member of the family! Despite this, he has settled in to life in a home so well. He has picked up lovely house manners, wants to be involved and make you happy, and is on the whole a cracking boy!
❤️ He is living with children currently. Children would need to be respectful and understanding that he may need time to trust them.
❤️ He lived with lots of dogs in the rescue, and greets them nicely on walks.
❤️ He doesn't live with cats currently, but the rescue said he doesn't mind them.
❤️ He is fully toilet trained.
❤️ He has no problem being left in the day, no separation anxiety, and is not destructive.
❤️ He is crate trained on a bedtime and settles fine all night.
❤️ Not bothered by fireworks.
❤️ Sanchez is getting more and more confident with strangers out on walks but he is still nervous of new people coming into our home. Work would need to be done if you have a lot of visitors.
❤️ He fancies himself as a bit of a guard dog and likes to bark if he thinks someone is coming to the house (we quite like this). He also likes to make sure his people are safe.
❤️ He loves going on walks, long or short. He doesnt need hours of walking to keep him happy but he would equally make a great hiking buddy. His lead walking is mostly good and he is enjoyable to walk. He is strong and can pull if there is a delicious smell or if he knows he's on the way home, but we don't find this unmanageable. He is not reactive.
❤️ Sanchez has learnt 'sit' and 'paw' quickly and loves a treat.
❤️ He travels well in the car.
❤️ Sanchez is a chilled out older boy, who would love a home to call his own. He would love a family who wants to give him plenty of fusses and treats, and take him on lovely strolls!
❤️ You can tell Sanchez has been waiting for a chance to be loved for so long. He may take a bit of time to relax and trust his new family, so understanding and patience is a must! But he is so worth it. He is a beautiful dog, who really deserves a family to call his own, to shower him with love and treats, and to tell him he's a handsome boy every day to make up for all the years he's missed out on it 🐶🐾

Sanchez is microchipped, neutered, fully vaccinated and vetted prior to travel to the UK, 4dx tested, IFAT tested, up to date with flea and worm treatment, and has an EU Passport.
Adopters are welcome to keep his harness, lead, and coat. He will also be rehomed with some of his current dog food (Harringtons) in case you would want to gradually change to another brand. I'm sure he would be fine to move on to other brands as he has had no stomach issues with us.
