A little bit about Gander
Gander is a handsome boy who came into our care as a stray alongside Goose. The pair share a close bond and often look to each other for reassurance and guidance.
When Gander arrived, he had a few matts in his coat, so he enjoyed a visit to our onsite groomer, where he was an absolute star! ✨
Playtime is Gander’s favourite time!
Gander loves his toys, especially balls, tug toys and the flirt pole. His absolute favourite activity is playing tug with his human friends! He loves to please and is a clever boy who already knows a range of commands, including sit, paw, down and spin. It’s clear that someone has spent time with him and helped him become the lovely dog he is today.
What kind of home does Gander need?
Gander is looking for an active home where he will have plenty of exercise, enrichment and opportunities to keep his clever mind busy. An owner with experience of German Shepherds or similar breeds would be ideal.
He has been friendly with people and has done well meeting other dogs. When he met Lenny, he was even giving him little face licks! However, Gander can feel a little unsure if another dog plays too roughly, so thoughtful introductions and compatible canine companions are important.
Children: Any children in the home must be aged 6 or over.
Dietary requirements: Gander has an intolerance to chicken, which causes his ears to become itchy, so he will need a chicken-free diet.
