Description
Charley is a cutie who was saved from the streets in Hungary. He was begging for help but he was chased and terrified by locals … we stepped in and he is safe with us now and ready for adoption. He was brought to a home in the UK 2 weeks ago, but they feel he is not suited to their family. We are now seeking another home for him.
Charley is a kind hearted boy who is timid and shy to start with, which is understandable. He is a bit shy with humans at first, but opens up as soon as he feels safe and loved. He loves playing and running about. He is a cute little guy who loves the attention he receives and enjoys cuddles once he gets to know you. He loves to be around dogs, in fact he needs a little doggie friend to learn from in his new home. He is only small in size, built up in his body but short legs, around 13kg. Can you offer a loving forever home for him?
His current home says the following about him:
This is Charley, a really loving, sweet boy. He has been with us for 2 weeks and has settled with us quickly. He’s formed strong bonds with my partner and I and our teenage son. He learnt housetraining so quickly and to walk on a lead, and to sit - he’s a very clever boy and wants to learn and please. He’s currently still wary of strangers and our younger son …… I think with training by someone with experience he could learn to trust, but I sadly don’t have the time to train him in the way I think he needs. We will be sad to say goodbye to this sweet boy ……. He’s very chilled and doesn’t really bark in the house and has got used to sleeping in the kitchen and being left for a short time, here and there. He cries a little at first, but quickly settles.
I think he would do well in a house with confident adults / teenagers with dog experience. He is very receptive to treat based training. He is interested in other dogs on walks and wants to greet them, sometimes with a lunge and a bark but again we have been working on desensitising him to this and he's learning.
Vaccinated for entry to the UK, microchipped and dewormed, all of our dogs come with their own EU Passport. They are ready for adoption, subject to a home check and a minimum donation of £550.
