🧬 About the Species
Bristlenose Plecos are peaceful freshwater catfish known for their unique “bristly” faces and excellent algae-eating habits. They’re a great addition to most community tanks and are much smaller and easier to manage than common plecos.

• Adult Size: Around 4–5 inches (10–13 cm)
• Temperament: Peaceful, great with community fish
• Behaviour: Nocturnal; prefers hiding spots during the day but becomes active in the evening. Excellent algae cleaner, helping to keep tanks tidy and balanced.

• Water Parameters: pH 6.5–7.5 | Temperature 22–28°C
• Diet: Primarily algae and sinking wafers; enjoys blanched vegetables such as courgette, cucumber, and peas.

• Compatibility: Safe with most peaceful community fish; avoid keeping males together in small tanks as they can become territorial.
