πŸ’™πŸΆ BEAR – LOVING, FUNNY, CLEVER & STILL WAITING FOR HIS PERSON πŸΆπŸ’™ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸΎ UK SURRENDER πŸΎπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ 🏠 LOOKING FOR FOREVER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME 🏠 πŸ“ Currently in foster: Petersfield, Hampshire GU32 🌟 Reduced adoption fee β€’ RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟 πŸ”„ UPDATE FROM FOSTER – BEAR IS STILL WAITING πŸ’™ Bear has now spent more time in foster, giving us a much better understanding of this gorgeous little chap β€” both everything that makes him wonderful and what he genuinely needs from his future home. His foster says: β€œBear is a gorgeous little chap and very affectionate. He sleeps on my bed and really does expect to be part of the family and involved in everything that is going on.” And that is Bear in a nutshell. He doesn't want to live somewhere in the background. He wants to be YOUR dog. ❀️ 🐾 Meet Bear Bear is a 4-year-old small French Bulldog with a huge personality. He is loving, funny, clever, incredibly affectionate and full of energy β€” much more energetic than many people might expect from a Frenchie as doesn’t have breathing issues! He loves being involved in everyday life, sleeping beside his person and sharing adventures. He travels beautifully and is house-trained. ✨ Highlights ✨ β€’ SIZE: Small but sturdy β€’ NEUTERED: Yes β€’ CHARACTER: Affectionate β€’ Clever β€’ Funny β€’ Energetic β€’ People-focused β€’ DOGS: A calm, steady female dog may be possible after careful introductions β€’ CATS/SMALL ANIMALS: No –chases β€’ CHILDREN: Adult-only home β€’ HOME LIFE: House-trained β€’ Loves being involved in family life β€’ Sleeps happily beside his person β€’ TRAVEL: Excellent in the car 🐾 More About Bear Bear's foster describes him as a dog with masses of energy. He currently has around an hour's proper walk in the morning and another later in the day, and still has plenty left in the tank. 😁 He can pull with excitement at the beginning of walks, then becomes much easier once he has had an opportunity to burn off some energy. Bear does have a chase instinct. He can walk calmly on lead around cattle, sheep and even hens, but wildlife can be VERY exciting β€” pheasants and partridges apparently remain especially tempting! πŸ˜… He therefore needs sensible management and should remain securely controlled around livestock and wildlife. At home, Bear is incredibly affectionate and wants to be part of everything. But he is also a sensitive little character. He can become possessive of his person and protective of the place he considers home. He may react to somebody entering the garden, and his responses to people can occasionally be difficult to predict β€” someone he has happily cuddled and slept beside may sometimes trigger a different response. Bear is also extremely sensitive to being reprimanded. Being told off can knock his confidence for hours. He needs calm, patient handling, clear routines and positive reinforcement rather than confrontation or correction. 🐢 Could Bear Live With Another Dog? With everything we know now, we don't want to automatically rule this out. His foster feels that Bear could potentially benefit from living with ONE calm, sensible and steady female dog in a genuinely experienced home. The match would need to be carefully considered and introductions managed properly. He would not suit a busy multi-dog household or a dog who competes intensely for attention. He can equally be very happy as someone's only dog β€” and for many homes, this may still be the simplest match. 🏑 Ideal Home Bear needs one or two calm, kind and experienced adults who understand that loving a dog like him means learning who HE is rather than expecting him to fit a standard mould. He needs active people who enjoy proper walks, can confidently manage his chase instinct and will include him in everyday life. A secure private garden and access to good walking areas would be ideal. Most importantly, Bear needs consistency, patience and force-free handling. He forms strong attachments and invests himself deeply in his home and his person. His foster puts it beautifully: β€œMore than anything he needs somebody calm, active and patient who will include him as part of their life and understand that he can be a complicated little chap. Underneath all of that he is loving, funny, clever and really quite gorgeous.” πŸ’™ πŸ’ž And perhaps that is exactly the person we need to find. Someone who doesn't need Bear to be perfect. Someone who sees the affectionate little dog sleeping beside them, following them through life and wanting so desperately to belong β€” and thinks, β€œYes. I can understand you.” Bear is still waiting for that person. πŸ’™πŸΎ 🩺 Health Information Bear is healthy, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, with no known significant medical conditions or breathing difficulties. πŸ’Œ If you can offer him foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: πŸ”— Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9 πŸ“© Already applied before?
