This post is being made with an incredibly heavy heart!
We welcomed Joko into our family this year after he was being rehomed from a farm in Wales. From what we were told, he was bred as a working dog, but didn’t do so well with working. He was just looking for a more chilled family home and to be someone’s bestie and to be honest - he’s been the absolute best friend we have ever had!
Unfortunately.. although not quite energetic enough for a working farm, he still needs more from us than what we can give him currently. We try and get him out as much as possible and stimulate him mentally and physically but increasing work demand and responsibility means that our boy really isn’t getting the full, free life that he deserves. Which leads us to the incredibly difficult decision of rehoming him in once more to a more suitable forever home.
Joko is very used to being smothered with love, so does need a very loving home, and believe me he will give you 110% of his love and affection and snuggles right back! But he also really needs an active person/family that will be able to give him the stimulation of minimum twice daily walks, plus the bits in between. Ideally someone who has experience with high-energy breeds and someone who wouldn’t be looking to spend more than a few hours at a time away from him.
He’s great with children, cats and other dogs. And I cannot express how loyal and kind hearted he is, I’m sure he will make another family just as happy as he has made us.
