🐹❤️ MEET TOFFEE & CHESTNUT – TWO FLUFFY LITTLE CHARACTERS LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOME! ❤️🐹 We are looking for a lovely new home for our two gorgeous boys, Toffee and Chestnut, who are 17 months old. These two aren't just guinea pigs, they're fluffy little housemates with HUGE personalities, an unhealthy obsession with hay and a shared belief that the living room belongs to them! 😂 We are looking for a loving family who will give them the same freedom, attention and care that they are used to. 🐹 Chestnut - The Confident Explorer! Chestnut is our gorgeous ginger fluffball and the more confident and inquisitive of the two. He loves exploring, being hand-fed and receiving the occasional strawberry or blueberry. He's always keen to investigate what's going on around him, particularly if there's a possibility that food might be involved! Chestnut also has a rather unusual obsession with sniffing people's toes while they're eating. We have absolutely no explanation for this behaviour, but apparently, it's an important part of his daily routine. 😂🦶 He's a friendly, curious little character who loves interacting with his humans. 🐹 Toffee - The Shy Little Boss! Toffee is our beautiful white and caramel boy. He's the more cautious of the two and prefers to explore at his own pace. He's a little more reserved than Chestnut and likes to be left to his own devices when roaming, but don't let his shy personality fool you - he's actually the boss when it comes to their guinea pig hierarchy! He may not be the first to investigate something new, but he certainly knows how to keep Chestnut in line. 😂 Once he's comfortable, he's a lovely, friendly little boy who enjoys being held and happily accepts food from your hands. 💕 Two little boys with BIG personalities! Both boys are friendly, easy to handle and will happily sit with you or relax in your arms. There is, however, one small obstacle: catching them! Like all guinea pigs, their natural prey instinct means their first reaction to being approached is often to run away. Apparently, being scooped up by a giant human is highly suspicious, even when that human has been feeding them for most of their lives 😂 Once picked up, they're both super chilled and happy to sit with you, especially if snacks are involved. 🥬 Their favourite things in life include: HAY! An endless supply of hay. Hay for breakfast, hay for lunch, hay for dinner… and a little hay in between. Toilet roll tubes - who needs expensive toys when you can have a cardboard tube? Foraging and exploring. Lettuce, celery and cucumber - the holy trinity of guinea pig cuisine! Plenty of space to run, play and investigate absolutely everything. 🏡 The home we're looking for This is the most important part. Toffee and Chestnut have always been indoor guinea pigs, and they MUST remain indoor pets. They are used to being allowed to free roam when we are home, and they absolutely love having the space to run around, explore and play. We are looking for a home where they will continue to enjoy this freedom, with access to a safe, guinea pig proofed living room at the very least. We do not want them going to a home where they will spend most of their lives confined to a cage. They are used to being part of family life, and we want that to continue. They would make wonderful additions to a family and are used to being around people. Ideally, we would prefer a home with children aged 5+, purely because guinea pigs are naturally nervous prey animals who can become frightened by sudden movements, loud noises and unpredictable handling. Younger children are naturally lively and curious, so we feel a slightly older family environment would be more suitable for the boys. Also, no dogs or cats for obvious reasons. 🏠 Everything they need comes with them! Toffee and Chestnut will come with their cage and all their belongings, so their new family will have everything they need to help them settle in. They are a bonded pair and must be rehomed together. ❤️ We would love to find someone who understands that guinea pigs are intelligent, sociable little animals with individual personalities, rather than pets who are simply kept in a cage. They have brought so much joy, laughter and entertainment into our home, and we want their next chapter to be just as wonderful.
