We are looking for a new home for Jeff due to a change in family circumstances. Heās an energetic and agile little terrier, yet still a true lap dog who loves to burrow under a blanket and cuddle up with you. Jeff turned four in May 2025.
Jeff is a Jack Russell cross Yorkshire terrier Jeff displays dog reactivity but has been responsive to consistent training and we are very proud of him! He currently goes on two short walks a day with high value treats and is everyday getting calmer when meeting dogs. Most recently he has completely ignored. Jeff needs to be in a home with no children and an experienced, confident handler who is willing to upkeep his training and keep his mind busy with sniff search themed games. Ideally someone who wouldnāt leave him for long periods of time
Jeff is currently with our family member in foster care during this rehoming process as we were finding it difficult keeping Jeff and our toddler apart whilst still catering to both their needs. Jeff is the most affectionate dog we have ever met and this decision does not come lightly and itās taken us over a year to decide to re home - ultimately we want the best for him and that no longer involves us
Alongside Jeffs training success, we also give him a strict low fat diet, high value training treats on walks, weekly private field access and of course long haired specific type grooming. Jeff can handle car journeys however, hes not the biggest fan. He travels short distances most days and handles it but this would also need continued training and desensitisation. We will only consider someone who will commit to continued training and has no children in the house
