Description
📢 Introducing Lily, our extremely loving caring show Cocker spaniel. Who is 4 years and 3 months old, so still quite young...
ℹ️ We are only rehoming her due to the facts of following breeding licence, guidance, rules and regulations...
Lily has been spayed and retired after only 2 litters, as motherhood really wasn't for her...
For example, she mated fine, pregnancy was great, giving birth easy peasy, but caring for her puppies. She didn't really have time for them. Put it this way. If I wasn't there with her. She didn't want to be there with the puppies. So we had to do assist feeding, which any breeder will tell you is exhausting. We hoped that second time round would be alot less exhausting, that she would do more, but that wasn't to be, so enough's enough. Not every breeding female make wonderful mothers and we just have to accept that every now and then...
ℹ️ Lily is fully house trained, wonderful at getting her groom. She loves the whole process of being washed and groomed and having cuddle times.
ℹ️ But what I will say is, when you let her off the lead, her call back isn't amazing. If you have got her attention the whole time then it's great. But if she gets startled then she will just try and run to the car. So this needs to be worked on with a field lead. This is what we are doing anyway so I can give you all the necessary leads.
👀 Lily would best suit anyone. Honestly, she's the most amazing dog ever. You can take her anywhere. She travels really well. We've had her on boats on lake Windermere. We've had her up kirkstone pass when the pub was open. She's just great taking anywhere...
Whoever decides to take her on will be vetted, asking you some set questions. As I'm sure you understand. I want the care, consideration & love to continue.
ℹ️ She isn't used to being around young children so I don't know how she would act. My youngest is now 13 years old.
📞 I also want the new owners to stay in touch with me to continue telling me about her progress. She honestly is such a loving dog and truly only rehoming her due to rules and regulations as defra (breeding licence inspector)
ℹ️ She is happy sleeping in a pen, on bedding in the living room or even on the sofa ...
ℹ️ Completely house trained.
🚶♂️ She is great when walking her, no pulling...
She's more than happy to be wherever you are & if that's chilling on the sofa or just puttering around the house then she's happy...
Please know this is a very difficult process, so no time wasters...
