Origin: Lake Tanganyika in East Africa
Adult length: 10 to 12 cm
Lifespan: 8 to 10 years
White Spotted Cichlids prefer a rocky setup with caves and crevices to mimic their natural habitat in Lake Tanganyika.
Provide a substrate of fine sand and arrange rocks to create hiding spots and territories.
pH of 7.8 to 9.0 and a water temperature between 24 to 28°C (75 to 82°F).
Ensure good water quality with regular water changes and proper filtration.
Diet:
White Spotted Cichlids are herbivores, and their diet should consist mainly of high-quality vegetable-based flakes or pellets.
Supplement their diet with occasional protein-rich foods like spirulina, brine shrimp, and small invertebrates.
