Meet Sonny! He’s a British shorthair/Scottish Straight male with a blue golden coat and beautiful green eyes. He’s lovely and chunky and looks like a teddy 🧸 We were really hoping not to have to find this boy a new home, but we feel he would benefit from an adult only home or a home with older, calmer children. He’s not remotely aggressive and has never deliberately scratched or bitten, but if my younger children approach him he does tend to move away. Despite him getting braver in the time we’ve had him, we feel he would really benefit from a home that can give him the time and patience he deserves to become more confident around people. He does need a couple of brushes weekly to keep his coat in good condition or he does tend to get matts because his hair is so dense, but apart from that, he’s super easy to look after. He eats well, is very clean in the litter tray and loves a snooze. If you have to go out for longer periods of the day, he will just sleep. He is used to having feline companions, so I would prefer he went to a home with a friendly, calm cat/cats as that’s what he is used to. I do not have a dog, but I do not think this would be suitable for him. He is an indoor cat only and it would need to remain this way. He is not bred to go outside and it would not be safe for him. He would get hurt or stolen as he is an expensive breed. Sonny has not yet been neutered, but is up to date with his vaccinations including FELV and is microchipped. If you feel you could give this quiet boy a calm, loving and safe home and the time and patience he needs to become more confident, please get in contact with information about yourself and the home you could offer him.
