Please think before having this lil guy, this is our last hope. I’m having a baby in march and he isn’t good around children, i’d say 10 up he’s fine with by younger and smaller ones he will try and go for or bark. He will rescource guard his items when he’s in bed, if you go near him while he has an item he will bark, growl and go for you with teeth. he’s never bit but i don’t want to risk it to my baby. He’s fine to be left alone overnight or in day but he will bark at everything he hears and it is a loud bark. He struggles with walks, he pulls on his lead will bark the whole time and will bark even more seeing people or animals. He’s fine with other dogs when he gets used to them but would be better alone. He will cuddle and play fight with another dog but will attack that dog if he is approached while an item is with him. He isn’t good with cats at all. He’s on harringtons food and will eat anything. He’s very affectionate dog so he’s best with someone who can be with him a lot of the time. I’d like to hope he’d go to a good home and would rather not have him put down, if he likes you a lot he will let you take that item off him without going for you. But i wouldn’t risk it just let him have it or give him a treat to get it away. His bark is very very loud so if you can’t stand this then he isn’t well for you. He’d be best with someone who knows how to train dogs, or a single adult no kids or 2 parents but wouldn’t recommend to be with small children, or even better with an elderly couple , we’ve tried to train him but we think he’s had these habits from his last owner. We love him dearly but i don’t want him a risk to my baby at all. He is slightly house trained he will tell you when he wants to go outside, but will bark at neighbours or animals next door.. he will probably pee or poop if left alone for a while. He’s also fine with new people, adults mainly but will bark at them when they come through the door, he will settle after a while just make sure they don’t go and pet him immediately just let him have time to settle and sniff them. He’s such a lovely affectionate dog and will always want to be around you and lay on you, he just has bad behaviours that need helping but we don’t have time for it with a new baby.
