Description

Uros is a 5 year old male Weimaraner (DOB 02/01/2021) who was surrendered to the shelter we work with in Spain by a private owner, rather than a hunter, like most of our dogs. Unfortunately this doesn’t mean he has been treated well as his owner was reportedly a nasty piece of work. Uros is an elegant, athletic and energetic boy who loves running around the enclosure with his friend, a pointer. He has lived as an only dog most of his life so he could continue to do this, or he could live comfortably with female dogs. He can be unsure around male dogs. He responds to his name in the confines of the shelter, but this would likely be very different on an exciting walk! He has a good appetite but is still calm around food. Uros would do best in a home with older children or just adults as he is shy and can be wary of strangers to begin with, however he’s already made great progress in building his confidence since he came into the shelter. Dogs who are used to living in homes can find the transition to a shelter really difficult and so we would love to find him a home as soon as possible. His confidence is likely to grow exponentially in a calm home, rather than a busy, noisy shelter.
