WE WILL NOT DISCUSS AVAILABILITY OR POTENTIAL OWNERSHIP UNLESS WE HAVE BEEN PROVIDED WITH RELEVANT DETAILS BY EMAIL AND HAVE RESPONDED INVITING FUTHER DISCUSSION Do not call to “check availability”. Availability is dependent on suitability. In the first instance, please contact us by email, providing a detailed overview of your circumstances, your experience with dogs and your expectations of a new companion. We may then contact you to arrange an initial phone conversation. Following which potentially suitable prospective owners will be invited to visit to meet us, Harry, his parents and his extended canine family. Harry is an 11-month-old, classically marked, red and white male, whom we bred and retained for training. He is an eighth-generation Mastamariner, bred for kindness and outstanding temperament. Harry has been lovingly bred and reared at MASTAMARINER Border Collies, with temperament always our first priority. He is descended from outstanding parents with exceptional temperaments. His mother is gentle, kind, biddable, very affectionate and people-oriented; his father is a magnificent dog, exceptionally gentle, with a very loving, willing and compliant attitude. These qualities are reflected in Harry’s own gentle, affectionate and people-oriented character. Harry has been working within our Dog Training organisation as the canine training partner of one of our trainee Dog Trainers. He has now completed his intermediate training programme, and his trainer will shortly be completing their contract with us. Harry is therefore now ready to find his own permanent new family. Harry is very friendly, calm and people-oriented, affectionate, highly intelligent and playful. He enjoys interaction and attention, loves learning and is keen to please. Harry is biddable, willing and responsive, and is well advanced in his training. He is clean and well behaved in the house, crate trained and accustomed to settling down quietly when required. He travels well as a relaxed and well-mannered passenger in a car crate. He also enjoys visits to the town, where his calm, gentle nature and friendliness are admired by the new friends he makes, both human and canine. Harry behaves well around food, takes treats and rewards nicely, and shows no guarding behaviours. Whilst he has been raised in a rural environment, Harry has also experienced a wide variety of situations and environments which have contributed to his well-rounded personality. He has been well socialised from an early age with adults, children and other dogs, his new owners must continue to build on and expand his experiences as he matures. Harry enjoys the company of other dogs and will be equally happy as an only dog or with a canine companion. Harry’s new family will genuinely enjoy the companionship of their dog(s) and will provide him with affection, exercise, mental stimulation and continued training. He needs a stable and consistent home environment, with owners who will give him a varied and well-rounded experience of life, continuing to introduce him to experiences that broaden his horizons and nurturing his existing confidence, sociability and good nature, together with full inclusion as a member of the family. We are looking for experienced dog owners who are familiar with intelligent working breeds and have the knowledge, understanding and home circumstances to meet the ongoing needs of a rapidly developing young mind and body, and who are committed to taking a proactive role in Harry’s continuing training, education and wellbeing. All our dogs live in our home as part of the family, and Harry will not be homed where there is any intention for him to be kennelled or isolated from his new family. Harry was bred by us with temperament and suitability for family companionship as priorities. His parents are fully health tested, (with clear results). Harry is fully vaccinated, microchipped and regularly wormed. He has been raised in our family home and thoroughly socialised with people and dogs. Harry is not to be bred from. We do not home dogs as “breeding stock”, nor where canine sports are disproportionately the focus of ownership. He will be homed strictly as a companion and family member, and our sale agreement will prohibit breeding and export. His new owners must undertake to insure him for life and to contact us if their circumstances ever change such that they can no longer keep him. We are experienced, licensed breeders, qualified Dog trainers (British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers), and canine behavioural professionals. Our breeding programme places particular emphasis on temperament and suitability as family companions, and we are always available to provide support and advice to the owners of dogs or puppies that we have bred. We care passionately for our dogs, of any age, and our after-homing support is ongoing and unlimited. All our dogs are born and raised in our home in exemplary conditions and are, from an early age, thoroughly socialised with adults, children and older dogs. We take great care with their early socialisation, training and development, and we expect the homes we choose for them to continue this approach throughout their lives. The dogs and puppies who share our home and our lives are our best references, as are the outstanding reports we receive from longstanding owners across the country, many of whom have been part of the wider Mastamariner family for generations of their dogs. 90% of our puppies are homed with families who have been, or are currently, Mastamariner owners. Prospective owners should read the conditions of homing on our website before enquiring.
