HOME WITH NO OTHER RESIDENT DOGS
I have come to the heartbreaking conclusion that I need to rehome our chocolate-coloured spaniel, he is six years old, with a mix of show and working lineage from a gun dog breeder.
He is an affectionate and loving 'velcro dog' who adores cuddles and attention, always eager to follow. His charming personality instantly captivates everyone he meets.
He is well-trained in recall and basic commands, responding to whistle tones and specific voice commands when off-leash. Although he can pull slightly on his leash, a figure-of-eight lead helps mitigate this.
One quirk is his tendency to constantly carry something in his mouth, whether it's a tea towel or a favourite pair of shoes.
He is crate-trained and willingly enters his crate at family mealtimes or on his own. He sleeps in his crate with the door open.
He is fed a raw food diet twice daily, supplemented with treats.
Unfortunately, due to conflicts with our other dog, we must rehome him. Over the past three to four years, resource guarding has led to fights, causing stress and anxiety for both dogs and our household.
Despite training and efforts, the situation persists. He would thrive as the sole dog in a new home, receiving the dedicated attention he craves from an owner who will love him unconditionally.
He will only go to the right home.
He will thrive as an only dog with no cats or other small animals.
He can be unpredictable with most dogs on a leash
