Description
We have a the gorgeous Ernie up for sale. Long story..he was found as a stray dog with no microchip and his time was up at kennels and due to be euthanised. A friend asked if we could take him to save this from happening. (He is not microchipped). We have the paperwork from North Yorkshire council of him being a stray and his background was unknown.
I am also unsure of his specific breed, he may have a little whippet in him as he not as big as a greyhound.
We have had Ernie for around 6-7 weeks. We wanted to get to know him, make sure he put on some weight and had him health checked at our vets. He is in full health and the vet mentioned he is around 4 years old.
What we do know and what he needs:
1. He is fantastic with children, a kind a gentle soul with not a single bad bone in his body.
2. Loves food - currently being fed raw food, he eats twice a day.
3. Brilliant with other dogs, tested with small dogs so and he was no bother at all.
4. Will pull on the lead if he sees a cat but walks nicely, wants to greet every dog and everything that goes by.
5. He’s a happy chap that needs a sofa to lay on, a comfort bed and someone that is willing to give him all the love in the world. He does not like to be cold.
6, He needs a microchip ASAP and injections starting if wanted.
7. Currently living with my other saluki female and is happy with my 2 children.
I want the new owners to be fully 100% committed to a new dog family member as I do not want him back in a rescue, this cannot happen for him.
He sleeps happily downstairs in the house, toilet trained, does whine if he needs a poop.
He has a bed and a lead, he has bowls but may need new ones. You can take these with you.
