Meet Lenny Breed: Huntaway X Age: Unknown - approx 7 years old Weight: 42kg Lenny is a big, lovable boy with an enormous heart who is looking for a special home to call his own. Lenny came into our care after being handed into a vet. Sadly, he arrived in quite a poor condition, he was extremely underweight, had very sore skin and had been left with very long nails. He is now receiving the care and attention he deserves and is currently following a weight gain plan alongside treatment for his skin. ❤️ Lenny’s personality Lenny is an incredibly loving boy who absolutely adores people. He often looks to his humans for reassurance and, if you're offering cuddles, Lenny will be more than happy to oblige! Despite everything he has been through, he has a wonderfully playful personality. Lenny loves playtime and gets very excited about his toys. He can become so enthusiastic that he may jump up at people when he is excited, so his new family will need to continue helping him learn some manners when he gets carried away. When he's not busy playing, Lenny is perfectly happy relaxing and watching the world go by. We think he would be absolutely delighted with a lovely big window where he can sit and keep an eye on everything happening outside. 🐕 Lenny and other dogs Lenny has generally been very good around the dogs he has met and hasn't shown much interest in them. We feel he could potentially live with another calm, sensible dog who understands and respects his space. If another dog became too much for him, we suspect Lenny would quite happily let them know that he'd had enough! A suitable dog introduction would, of course, be required. 🏡 Lenny’s ideal home Lenny would love a home where he can receive plenty of affection, reassurance and attention while continuing to build up his strength and confidence. Children in the home would need to be aged 10 or over. We don't know how Lenny would be around cats, so we are unable to say whether he could live with them. His new family will need to be patient and understanding while he continues his recovery, but in return they will have a wonderfully affectionate, playful and loyal companion. 🌟 Could Lenny be the boy for you? Lenny has been through a difficult start, but he hasn't let it dampen his loving personality. He is a big softie who simply wants to feel safe, loved and included. We would love to see Lenny find a family who will give him the time, care and affection he deserves and show him just how wonderful life can be.
