Description
This is incredibly difficult for us to write. Rosie is our baby and we love her with our whole hearts, but due to increasing work commitments and welcoming a new baby in the coming months, we’ve had to make the heartbreaking decision to find her a home where she can get the time and attention she deserves.
Rosie is 2 years old and will be 3 in October. We’ve had her since she was around 8 months old. When we got her she wasn’t trained and didn’t even have a name, so we’ve done our best to train her and give her structure. She’s come a long way but still has room for improvement, so she’ll need someone patient who can continue working with her.
She’s an anxious girl and can be on edge when meeting new people and also doesn’t get along with small dogs, although she can be okay with bigger dogs depending on the situation. She would likely do best as the only dog in the home. She is fine with cats and okay with older children, but not suited to a home with toddlers.
Rosie hasn’t had recall training yet, so she can’t currently be let off lead. With time and training this could definitely be improved. We think she could thrive in a farm or countryside home where she has space and someone dedicated to continuing her training.
She is such a sweet, loving girl who absolutely loves cuddles (cwtches) and playing ball — her ball is her favourite thing in the world. She bonds very closely with her people and loves attention.
She is crate trained during the day,( for short periods of time) but in the evenings she loves to curl up and sleep in bed with us.
This decision has been incredibly hard because we adore her, but we want to make sure she has the best life possible. We are not rushing this and want to make sure she goes to the right home.
