πŸ’™πŸΆ TOBIK – A BIG PUPPY WITH A BIG HEART AND SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE! πŸΆπŸ’™ πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸΎ UK BASED πŸ“ Currently located: Grimsby DN33 🏠 LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME 🏠 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks insurance provided upon adoption (on request) 🌟 πŸ’™ TOBIK IS LOOKING FOR HIS FAMILY AGAIN! Not long ago, Tobik joined a lovely family on a foster-to-adopt trial. Sadly, they have decided not to proceed with adoption. They have been very clear that this is NOT Tobik's fault. Their circumstances, working schedules have turned out to be different from what they originally anticipated, and they feel unable to give this growing puppy the time and training he deserves. Tobik is still the same wonderful, affectionate, friendly boy β€” but he is also a BIG, enthusiastic puppy who needs help learning that not everyone appreciates being greeted with flying paws and playful mouth! 😁 🐾 Meet Tobik Tobik is an approximately 7-8-month-old large GSD cross puppy, cheerful, confident, sociable and full of love. He adores people, enjoys playing with other dogs and is a clever boy who is already learning good household manners. ✨ Highlights ✨ β€’ SIZE: Large (approx. 58 cm / 25-27 kg), still growing β€’ NEUTERED: Not yet, neuter agreement applies, will be supported by rescue when physically mature (see details in β€œHealth Information” below) β€’ CHARACTER: Affectionate β€’ Friendly with everyoneβ€’ Playful β€’ Clever β€’ Enthusiastic β€’ DOGS: Loves other dogs of all sizes β€’ CATS: Previously ignored cats around his foster garden β€’ CHILDREN: Very friendly, but best in an adult home or with older, dog-savvy teenagers 12+ due to size and enthusiasm β€’ HOUSETRAINING: Excellent – no accidents in his current home β€’ TRAINING: Walks nicely on lead, learning sit, down and paw, waits patiently for food πŸ’” Rescue Story Tobik's beginning was heartbreaking. As a young puppy in Ukraine, he wandered into a village and became attached to a family with children. He would sleep outside their gate with a ball in his mouth, waiting for someone to come and play. But instead of helping him, the family sent their children to take Tobik into the woods, where he was tied to a tree and abandoned. Volunteers searched for two days before Tobik managed to chew through the rope and was eventually found near a road. Thankfully, he was rescued and given another chance. πŸ’™ 🐾 More About Tobik His current family describe him as a lovely, good-natured puppy who enjoys walks, settles well during the day and evening, patiently waits while his meals are prepared and is doing brilliantly with housetraining. He is clever, affectionate and eager to learn, but he also has plenty of typical puppy enthusiasm! When excited, Tobik can become boisterous, jump up to greet people and use his mouth during play. Sometimes he grabs arms or legs and struggles to disengage, so he needs consistent, positive training to learn calmer ways to interact. These behaviours are important to address now, especially as Tobik is already a big, strong puppy. His future family should be ready to invest time in helping him develop good manners, learn appropriate play and greet people calmly. Just a couple of months of regular, positive-reinforcement group training classes could make a HUGE difference, building a strong foundation for his entire future and helping Tobik grow into the wonderful, well-mannered dream-companion he has every potential to become! πŸ’™ The wonderful thing is that Tobik is very quick learner, has a friendly nature, enjoys learning and already shows how capable he is of settling when his needs are met. 🏑 Ideal Home Tobik needs an active but not chaotic family who understand large-breed puppies and have the time to continue his training. A house with a secure garden, along with good amount of walks, mental enrichment and positive reinforcement. He could live with a friendly, playful resident dog or be an only dog with regular opportunities to socialise. We would prefer an adult household or one with older, dog-savvy teenagers who are comfortable around a large, enthusiastic youngster. Most importantly, Tobik needs people who won't expect a perfectly trained adult dog from an 7-8-month-old puppy, but who will enjoy helping him grow into one. πŸ’ž Tobik has already experienced abandonment once in his short life. He doesn't understand why his first UK home hasn't worked out, but he still has that same trusting, loving heart and endless enthusiasm for life. He needs a family who will see beyond the puppy excitement and recognise the wonderful companion he can become with time, patience and love. πŸ’™πŸΎ 🩺 Health Information Tobik is healthy, vaccinated and microchipped. He was tested for C. Brucella before travelling to the UK (licensed laboratory certificate provided). He is not yet neutered, as he is still growing. Large-breed dogs like Tobik need more time to grow and develop before being neutered. Sex hormones, particularly testosterone, play an important role in skeletal development and the closure of growth plates. Neutering before fully grown increase the risk of orthopaedic problems, including hip dysplasia and cruciate ligament injuries, particularly in larger breeds. For this reason, it’s important to wait until Tobik is physically mature, generally not before 16–18 months of age, depending on veterinary advice. His neutering will be supported by rescue at the appropriate time. πŸ’™ πŸ’Œ If you can offer foster or foster-to-adopt home, please fill out a form: πŸ”— Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9 πŸ”— Foster Form: https://forms.gle/yE66hpgwdU9bnQsAA πŸ“© Already applied before?
