Description

Jax is a loving 4yr old Airedale-Daschund. He is a very lively character. Sadly, with a very heavy heart, we are having to part with Jax due to an allergy of a family member and he is scaring our disabled cat. Jax is a very affectionate dog, he loves licking people (potentially his version of kissing) and cuddling up next to people. Jax was previously bought from an neglectful household and so we're unsure that his name is Jax, therefore he's not brilliant on recall or responding to his name, but he is getting better. Due to his neglectful upbringing, he isn't fully potty trained BUT he will let you know when he needs to go for the toilet (typically lingering by the door). However, for a week or so, please do expect him to go potty wherever he feels likes until aware of his environment. As previously mentioned, jax doesn't get along with cats, so will need to be in a household without cats, or atleast in a different area to the cats. He does also enjoy barking at other dogs, and occasionally humans but is never aggressive. He is quite a fast paced walker and loves running about. We also believe that he has slight separation anxiety so will get up and follow you, this may be linked to his past. However, he can be left alone for around 2 hours, but can go around 4-6hrs in the right environment. He is well behaved in the car, happily looks out the window, barks at passing dogs and a few cars.
