Description
This is Lola, she is a 2 year old mini smooth haired daschund.
She is extremely reactive to stangers in the house and has bitten out of fear on more than one occasion so needs an adult only home with minimal visitors.🐾
We are her second home and her last owners weren't honest about her level of need so we want be as transparent as possible to ensure she really does find her forever home this time🐾
She is always hyper alert so guards and barks at the door or loud noises outside, when visitors enter she will lunge and jump trying to heavily nip repeatedly out of fear to hold them back🐾
We have undertaken some training but she has progressed minimally as we are a busy house so she is always being triggered. On walks she is much better now as long as its not too busy and we allow a wide berth to others, she is always on lead and muzzle for safety🐾
She is okay with our other dog but does try to dominate him and at the last house was kept with 3 male bulldogs, for this reason she always wants to be the centre of attention🐾
Ideally she needs to be with a trainer or someone who can take time to do extensive work with her🐾
When it is just our family in the house she is a loving, affectionate and fun little dog so the ability is there with the right owner. 🐾
She has no health issues and is unneutered but MUST NOT be used for breeding due to her fear and temperament. 🐾
Vet records and behaviour report are available.🐾
Daschund UK are also looking for a home for her but we are in a desperate situation with children in our house so I'm trying all avenues. She will only go to a suitable owner though. 🐾
(Video is for reference of her reactivity in the home)
If you think you might be a suitable new owner please contact me.
Located West Sussex. 🐾
Thank you
(please note Lola is 2 Dob September 2024 the date range wouldn't let me click back that far!)
