Description

We brought this puppy 2-3 weeks ago. The person selling had put she was good around children. She is to a point but unfortunately we looked back at previous owners photos and the pups had one bowl of food to share. This can cause pups to feel they have to fight for who gets the food! Due to this since we got her she wolfs down her food. Yesterday evening (reason for rehoming!) She found a half eaten cupcake, even though was supervised in same room with my toddler, we think my daughter may have tried to stroke her or take the cupcake it happened so quick... (this resulted in her scratching my daughters eye) though it was NOT i must stress viscious intent! I worry, that she may not have been eating properly and that this may have been the cause of lastnight, she may have feared her food was being taken and reacted. She has been amazing around my 3 toddlers so far. We truly love her and have put a lot of time into her. She is not a bad puppy! But we do believe she would be better around older children 13+ we did consult police advise, they were happy to leave and drop it as it wasnt a bite confirmed by medical. When we brought her it was ticked on the profile that she was microchipped and health checked but that wasnt the case. After contacting previous owner they hadnt microchipped. We have since had her microchipped and had her first vaccinations and a health check. During the healthcheck we found out hair around her eyes wasnt full and her fur/skin was dry. Probable due to poor nutrition. We have brought salmon oil. One pump in her food a day, her fur looks so much better already. She likes biscuits and meat. She will come with her stitch bed, a big bag of biscuits, all her toys she has many! Lots of treats. Some puppy pads, a ****************** coat for when she can go on walks (after 2nd jabs) and her lead and harness. Her food and waterbowl and mat. This has been a tough decision as we love her so much. Shes a lazy happy cuddly girl. She is teething but we have puppy teething gel you can also have seems to help! So far only chewed toys, not the house etc. We just want her to go to a more suited home without toddlers not because shes a danger but because of her problem with food. Usually she eats only in the kitchen and kids eat in front room. Even with hoovering we cannot guarentee we pick up all food and so cant run the risk of the kids trying to touch her if she finds food. I really hope we can find a loving home for her. Thats all we want she is smart! She knows sit, wait and paw. Learnt it within a week. She has so much potential. No fault of her own! Just to ensure we arnt risking a repeat.. we truly believe its fear she doesnt know when next meal is. She has been very well looked after spoilt and fed. Offers are welcome. Price to ensure she goes to a good home. Viewings are welcome. Pic with mum is who we saw with the pup. Hence to why ticked. Thankyou.
