Description
Winter is a beautiful, loving young dog with the sweetest temperament. She is affectionate, gentle, and incredibly people-oriented, forming strong bonds with those around her. Winter thrives on human companionship — she loves cuddles, gentle strokes, and simply being close to her people. While she’s still playful and enjoys her exercise, she’s just as happy curling up beside you to relax.
Winter has grown up around children and has been wonderful with them. I have two young boys, and she has been gentle, patient, and calm with them since they were toddlers. She truly enjoys being part of family life and would suit a home where she can be included in everyday activities.
She gets along well with other dogs and has been comfortable socialising with them, although she has never lived full-time with another dog. For this reason, careful introductions and a slow settling-in period would be important if there is already a dog in the home. She has not been tested with cats.
(Please note: the black dog shown in some photos is not available — they are pictured together to show Winter is comfortable around other dogs.)
Winter can be a little vocal when someone comes to the door or when new people enter the home, but she settles quickly once she realises they’re friendly. She responds very well to calm reassurance and a steady, consistent routine, which helps her feel secure.
Important things to know about Winter:
• She is not spayed, so this will need to be considered, especially in a home with male dogs or when planning around her seasons.
• She struggles with car sickness, particularly on longer journeys. Short trips and gradual, positive desensitisation would help, but this is something a new owner should be aware of.
• Winter isn’t used to being left alone for long periods. She would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time or where her alone time can be built up slowly.
• She is loving and sensitive, and does best with patience, reassurance, and routine rather than a busy or chaotic environment.
Rehoming Winter is a heartbreaking decision and has not been made lightly. Due to changes in personal circumstances, I can no longer give her the time, care, and stability she truly deserves. She is a very special dog who will make a wonderful, loyal companion in the right home.
