Description

Pulchriphyllium giganteum 'Tapah Hills', commonly known as the Giant Malaysian leaf insect, is a fascinating species native to the West Malaysian tropics. As one of the largest known leaf insects, reaching up to ~110mm in length, it's a popular choice among entomologists and insect enthusiasts alike. Personally, this is one of my favourite leaf insect species — they are truly beautiful. This species is parthenogenetic, meaning all nymphs are females. They will still produce eggs and start the next generation! These nymphs are captive-bred (CB). Care Information Size: L1-L3 nymphs (~35mm in length) Foodplant: Feeding well on bramble; also accepts oak species Temperature: 20–28 °C Humidity: 70–80% – mist enclosure daily or every other day Enclosure: Minimum 30 × 30 × 45 cm (W*L*H). Extra height preferred for moulting and climbing, especially considering this species size. Much prefer glass enclosures to maintain higher humidity! Nymphs are carefully packed in a ventilated tub with a paper towel base and fresh food plant for safe travel. Note: If you are interested in larger quantities than those listed, or want any advise, please get in contact! UK postage only. Payment via Paypal or bank transfer.
