With a very heavy heart, we are looking for a loving, experienced forever home for our beautiful boy Benson. Benson is a 5-year-old Cane Corso, predominantly Neapolitan Mastiff, and has been a much-loved member of our family. He is neutered, microchipped and has no known medical problems. Benson is a lovely, affectionate boy with his family and is good with children. He has lived in a family home with our three children and has also lived alongside another dog. He loves being with his people and is a big, loving character who has so much to give to the right family. We do need to be completely honest about his needs. Benson can be reactive towards some unfamiliar dogs, so he needs an experienced owner who understands large breeds and dog reactivity and is confident managing him responsibly on walks and in public. For this reason, we feel he would be best suited to a home where he can be given the time, space and consistency he needs. He cannot live with cats. This is an incredibly difficult decision for us and is absolutely not because of anything Benson has done wrong. Our circumstances are changing and, with the move we are making, we sadly feel we can no longer give him the home and lifestyle he deserves. We are looking for someone who genuinely understands Cane Corsos/large guardian breeds and is looking for a companion for life — not someone looking for a status dog or a breeding dog. We will be very careful about where Benson goes and would much rather wait for the right home than rush the process. Experienced home preferred. A secure garden and someone who understands his needs would be ideal. Please message with some information about yourself, your experience with large breeds and the home you could offer Benson. £300 — but finding the right forever home is far more important to us than the price.
