Description

Maggie – Rehoming Information Maggie is looking for a loving, experienced home that can give her the time, attention and environment she needs to thrive. 🏡 Home Requirements * Maggie needs a large, secure garden with plenty of space. * Ideally, she would live with someone who is home most of the day, as she needs more time and attention than her current circumstances allow. * A woman or couple would be preferred. * Someone with experience owning or handling Border Collies is preferred, as Maggie’s needs and triggers require an understanding of the breed and appropriate handling. 🐕 Walking & Behaviour * Maggie is best walked using a Halti and a short lead. * If she is going to a home with another dog, it would need to be an older, calmer dog. * Maggie currently lives with a very active and fast-moving dog. This can trigger Maggie and cause her to become aggressive. Aside from this trigger, they are generally fine together. * Maggie can be impatient when playing, particularly when balls or stones are being thrown, and may jump up and grab. For this reason, adults should be responsible for throwing balls/stones, especially at the beach. 🏠 Crate Training * Maggie has been crate trained alongside another dog. * She does not settle well in a crate when left alone, so this would need to be taken into consideration in her new home. 👧 Children * Maggie is fine with children. * Due to her tendency to become impatient and jump/grab when excited by toys or stones, adults should supervise and be responsible for throwing them. 🩺 Flea & Worm Treatment * Maggie was flea treated and wormed on 18th August 2026. ❤️ Rehoming Process Maggie needs the right home rather than simply any home. Her triggers, behaviour and individual needs are important to understand, and finding the right environment is the priority. * A home check will be carried out before rehoming. * Maggie’s circumstances and the prospective home will be discussed fully before a decision is made. * The new owner must be happy to maintain contact for at least the first month after rehoming, including providing photos and regular updates so we can make sure Maggie is settling in well. The main priority is finding Maggie a calm, experienced and loving home where her needs are understood and she can be happy and settled.
