🐾 Meet Squirrel
Say hello to our big, friendly giant... Squirrel. This beautiful girl came into our care after being abandoned. On arrival, she was slightly underweight with overgrown nails, but she is already making great progress.
Squirrel isn’t overly keen on having her feet handled, so we are gently desensitizing her to nail clippers to help her feel more comfortable. She also appears to have some sensitivity with her eyes and may require eye drops. She doesn't act her age.
💛 Personality
Squirrel is playful, affectionate, and full of life. She absolutely loves playtime and will happily show off her zoomies despite her giant size! She thrives on attention and adores a good fuss... especially belly rubs.
She can be strong on the lead at times, so she will need someone confident handling large breeds.
🏡 The Home She Needs
Squirrel is looking for a home with experience of giant breeds who understand their strength, needs, and space requirements. A secure garden is essential so she can stretch her legs and enjoy playtime safely.
🐕 Other Dogs
Squirrel has been good with the dogs she has met here. However, she can lack manners and tends to run straight up to other dogs, which may not always be appreciated. For this reason, we feel she may be happiest as the only dog in the home.
👨👩👧👦 Children & Other Animals
Children in the home will need to be aged 10 years or over due to her size and strength.
We are currently unsure how she would be around other animals.
Squirrel is a loving, playful giant who deserves a second chance with a family that understands her needs. With the right guidance and plenty of belly rubs, she will make an incredibly loyal and joyful companion.
