Meet ROSIE, a beautiful young girl with soulful eyes, a glossy black coat and the sweetest affectionate nature. She has just recently come into our care after being surrendered by a young family whose landlord unfortunately did not allow dogs in their property.
Through absolutely no fault of her own, Rosie suddenly found herself needing a new place to call home.
Despite this sudden change in her life, Rosie has remained friendly, affectionate and trusting with people. She clearly enjoys human company and quickly seeks reassurance and cuddles from those around her.
She is now safe with us and ready to find a loving, stable forever home where she will never have to worry about losing her family again.

• Age: Around 1 year and 9 months
• Size: Small–Medium
• Build: Compact, slightly long-bodied
• Coat: Short, smooth black with tan markings
• Breed (best guess): Dachshund × Bulldog / Terrier type mix
Rosie has a very distinctive look – her slightly longer body and shorter legs suggest some Dachshund influence, while her head shape and sturdy little frame hint at a possible old-type Bulldog or Terrier cross.
The result is a charming little dog with plenty of personality.

Rosie is a very people-oriented dog.
From the moment she met us she showed that she enjoys human attention and interaction. She happily approaches for fuss, enjoys being stroked and quickly settles when she feels safe.
She appears to be:

Rosie clearly enjoys being close to people, which makes her a lovely little companion dog.

We have been told that Rosie is not very comfortable with other dogs.
Because of this, we feel that she would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where she can receive all the attention and feel secure without competition or stress.
Many small companion dogs are perfectly happy in this role and thrive when they become the centre of their family's world.

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
