Description

Due to a change in my breeding programme, I am able to offer Axel for sale. Axel is full Polish import lines, he has produced many kittens, he has passed on his huge frame, and excellent temperament. He carries dilution. He is yet to fill out to his huge potential. He is a little shy initially, but soon settles and enjoys being brushed and combed. He does spray, so wouldn’t be suitable indoors unless stud pants were used. Currently in his summer coat. He is fully health tested via Laboklin and is clear for: HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy): Screens for the MYBPC3 gene mutation associated with the most common form of heart disease in Maine Coons. SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy): Tests for a mutation that causes the degeneration of motor neurons in the lower spine, leading to muscle weakness and instability. PKDef (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency): Screens for an inherited enzyme defect that causes red blood cells to break down prematurely, leading to intermittent anaemia. Factor XI Deficiency (F11): Checks for a genetic defect that causes a mild to moderate bleeding tendency
