Description
It is with great sadness that I write this post. My beautiful German shepherd Rex is 1 year and 10 months old and has to be rehomed. This is because he doesn’t get along with my family, specifically the men in the house.
I am a big family with cats and it is torture keeping the poor boy isolated, because that’s not who he is at all, he is such a loving dog full of energy.
He is not neutered which we believe to be the root of his territory issues however we don’t have the money for that right now, and it isn’t fair on my family.
He pulls on his lead and needs training.
Rex is good with children.
He can live with cats if they’re kept apart. He’s just curious about them.
Unsure about dogs, but he ignores them out on walks and is just curious and wants to play.
Rex’s Ideal home:
— rex needs an adult only woman only house. one which doesn’t require men to be around. But im sure a patient family may be able to oversee this and get along with him
— he has to be the only animal in the home, preferably no children but he can comfortably live with them. With my siblings he just loves to play.
— someone who is strong as he will pull on his lead.
— someone with experience with large breeds and who has enough time to train him.
— someone who preferably works from home as rex has severe separation anxiety and doesn’t like leaving his person. He will try to open doors to get to his familiar.
— a house with a closed off garden.
