I am looking for a loving, permanent home for my beautiful 6-year-old macaw, Loki. I rescued him when he was just one year old after he had been poorly treated and developed plucking behaviour due to his previous circumstances.Loki has come a long way and is a wonderful companion, but finding the right home for him is my absolute priority. For this reason, I will only consider applicants who have previous experience with macaws or large parrots and fully understand the commitment involved in caring for these intelligent, demanding birds.Loki requires a significant amount of daily interaction and ideally needs 4-6 hours of supervised time outside of his cage each day. He is affectionate, loves cuddles, and has an impressive vocabulary for a macaw. However, as with many rescue birds, he will need time, patience, and consistency to build trust and form a bond with a new owner.If you believe you can provide Loki with the loving forever home he deserves, please get in touch.
