Description
Midgley is a loving confident neutered girl, 1 year 3 months old. Shes a greyhound/staffy cross with a few other bits such as collie and boxer in the mix. House trained and used to being crated at night. We have had her since a pup and she is a great dog, affectionate, palyful- NEVER have we known her to growel or bite. Loves to go running or jogging with our son- will bring you her toys to play with and loves a cuddle on the sofa. She is good with our 2 and 5 year old grandchidren but would really love to have older kids to play with. Friends with our cat (though not tested with othe cats) and friends with all the dogs she meets.
So why would we possibly want to re-home this great dog? As a retired but active couple we are with Midgley every day and we live on a farm with just one neighbour below us. We are surrounded by fields and dont have a secured off garden. The neighbour has a holiday let and shepherds huts and has chickens and ducks running free. This is the problem. Unless kept chained up outside ( which obviously we dont want to do) Midgley has been getting out and hunting the birds. We did not realsie that she had such a strong prey drive and she has caught several chickens and ducks now- they did not survive. Out neighbour is rightly very upset and insitsts the dog must go. Unfortunately now Midge knows they are down there shes going to do it again and we cant take that chance.
Could you give Midgely a new home?
