Beautiful 4.5-Year-Old Male Miniature Dachshund Seeking a Special Forever Home. It is with an extremely heavy heart that we are looking for a loving new home for our gorgeous 4.5-year-old male miniature Dachshund (9kg). He is a stunning chocolate and cream dapple with one brown eye and one half brown, half blue eye, making him truly unique. He is a lovely, calm boy with a gentle nature and is superbly trained, very obedient, and has excellent manners. He loves playing with his toys, enjoys long walks both on and off the lead, and has fantastic recall. He is happiest being part of family life and loves spending time with his people, he loves nothing more than sleeping on a fluffy blanket. We want to be completely honest about his needs to ensure we find the right home. He is a naturally nervous dog and has bitten when frightened or when startled while asleep. Because of this, he would be best suited to an experienced owner who understands canine body language and is willing to continue using positive, reward-based methods to help him feel safe and secure. We believe he would thrive in a calm, adult-only home who understand the importance of respecting a dog’s boundaries, particularly around sleeping and personal space. This has been an incredibly difficult decision but we have children so have had to make this sad decision, and finding the right forever home is our absolute priority. We are looking for someone who will give him the patience, love, and understanding he deserves so that he can continue to flourish and a calm home without children or other pets. He is used to having someone at home with him most days but can be left for up to 6 hours one day a week. Serious enquiries only, please. We will vetting interested parties as we want him to go to a good loving home and are in no rush. We have had him since he was a puppy and bought him from a reputable breeder. He is KC registered and had all the checks and tests done.
