She loves lap time, cuddles, belly rubs, face licks, being very close to you, whilst being your devoted shadow around the house and garden. Playful as a puppy still at heart yet placid temperament when trusts.l and easy contented. Timid Initially: She is initially timid with new people, doesn’t usually bark at things or people out and about so not problematic behaviour and bonds rapidly within a few days to a couple of weeks when given space, patience, and clear guidance. ✅Marlene is beautiful inside & out, incredibly eager to learn and please, super responsive to training with kibble, recall Protential fantastic progress, dog cautious but friendly, super infectious personality traits, deeply loving 🥰 and a super companion. ⭐️Compact & Agile: Fully grown at just 7 kg, but surprisingly agile. ‼️12–16 Year Commitment: Young, smart, and highly trainable with immense potential. 🏠 Ideal Home & Household Setup ⭐️Occupants: 1 or 2 adult residents in a quiet, settled home. (Applications considered with a maximum of one calm, dog-savvy teenager aged 12+). ‼️Only Pet‼️: Must be the only pet in the household (she does not like sharing her space/resources within a home setting with dogs) but adores sharing with her humans. ⭐️Human Presence: Ideal for someone working from home as long as it’s a healthy work/home life balance. ⭐️A semi-retired person as long as physically active for the demands of a pup and understands Marlene has a long lifespan ahead. ✅Marlene shows great Protential at being left for upto 3 hours a day after reasonable settling in period and settles quietly. ✅🐾Dog cautious but friendly and quiet not reactive with barking ✅Bonds deeply with her people ‼️Child Policy: Strictly no resident or visiting children under 12. (She has the Protential to offer great love and friendship to a young person still making her an option for a 1 teen family) ‼️If young family members do visit on a very regular basis due to it being scary for her and an environment she would struggle to adjust to - ‼️please do not apply‼️. Marlene is a sensitive shy soul and must be given her own secure, undisturbed safe space behind a room divider or in a separate room for management or special occasions or visits from young family. 🏡 Garden & Security Requirements Fencing: Secure, private garden with minimum 5.5 ft (1.7 m) fencing and gates. Boundary Note: Despite her small size, her agility means she can jump or climb if motivated or spooked. 🦮 Walks, Training & Socialisation ✅On-Lead & Recall: Walks very nicely on a harness and lead without pulling with a great working recall on a long line. (This would need to be build up over many months security is particularly important) ✅Low Prey Drive in nature: Enjoys calm, relaxing walks in peaceful nature spots, walks in traffic but more nervous on busy main roads. Dog Socialisation: ✅Polite and usually non-reactive with other dogs. She can usually meet and play with calm, respectful dogs calm. If a dog is pushy, she can be overwhelmed or simply steps back and looks to her handler for reassurance. Marlene is mostly not a big vocal barker at all, meaning peaceful walks, she is a quiet observer. House Training: not started due to foster set up in kennel home base - requires a patient, consistent routine as she adjusts to a new environment. 📝 Ready to apply?
