In just six weeks, Marlene has made an astounding transformation from a timid, sensitive girl into a patient, deeply affectionate soul who is growing more and more confident by the day—especially around traffic, bikes, runners, people, and other dogs - she is not reactive at all just wary. Personality: A sensitive, gentle young soul with a total lovebug heart! She would make an amazing soulmate companion for someone looking for a deep, devoted bond. She might be a little timid at first, but once she trusts you, she’s all in—a complete lap dog who loves to climb right up for cuddles and stay as close as possible. She is wonderfully affectionate, thrives on gentle fuss, and adores being by your side. She walks beautifully on lead, has amazing recall coming along, and is non-reactive to other dogs. She gets along and plays happily with dog friends—preferring calm, smaller dogs over bouncy ones that invade her space—but she likes her toys and high-value treats to herself! Because of this resource guarding, she must be homed as an only dog. Marlene thrives with calm handling and reassurance. She would love nothing more than a lap to sit on, a cozy bed to lie on, and to be the center of your world so you can be the center of hers. Marlene’s Perfect Home: Adults Only: Single person or couple (visiting grandchildren must be 14+ and respectful of her space). Pet-Free: Must be the only pet in the home due to protecting her toys and treats, though she enjoys doggy pals on walks and playdates. Secure Garden: Minimum 5 ft secure fencing, with adopters prepared to adapt if needed. Marlene is a once-in-a-lifetime dog ready to be someone’s ultimate companion. Garden: Fully secure garden with a minimum 6ft boundary fence. Location: Within 100 miles of Fareham, Hampshire (must be prepared to travel for a meet & greet). Routine: Max alone time of 2–3 hours. Needs a patient, understanding home ready to continue her confidence-building and routine. Adoption Process: All Cause 4 Paws dogs are fully health-checked, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered.
