Description
Jess is a beautiful, cheeky girl looking for a loving home where she can curl up and enjoy plenty of cuddles. She is a real stunner, with thick black fur and striking chestnut-coloured eyes. A gentle giant, Jess has already shown herself to be a polite and well-mannered new addition to our kennels.
Jess was pulled from a kill shelter in Romania, and it was her friendly, affectionate nature and clear love of people that helped her on her journey into foster care. She is happy to share her space with other dogs of any size and would make a wonderful addition to an existing pack following a successful meet and greet. Equally, Jess would be perfectly content as an only dog, where she wouldn’t have to share her owner’s love.
She may occasionally attempt a jumping “hello”, but with just a little training she has quickly learned more polite ways to ask for attention. Jess is a fast learner and has adapted very well to the routine of kennel life. In a home environment, she would truly thrive with clear boundaries and a consistent routine to help her settle and understand what to expect from her new life.
Jess loves to play, so a home with a garden would be ideal, giving her space to run around and chase a ball. She walks beautifully on the lead and is an absolute pleasure to take out.
Despite her size, Jess has a lovely gentle nature and is very considerate. We would ideally like any children in the home to be over 12 years old due to her size, although this is not a strict requirement if the children have previous experience with dogs.
Jess is a little on the chunky side at the moment, but she has recently started a tasty raw diet, which she is thoroughly enjoying. We expect to see her extra weight dropping off in no time.
Jess has not yet been cat tested, but this is something we would be very happy to arrange for an interested adopter.
