Description

We are looking to rehome our 10 year old male cockatiel called Sora, as a matter of urgency. As our current landlord is selling the property we stay in, and the new one doesn't allow birds, we are having to rehome him (on or before 22/07/2023). The bird cage that he will be in, is approximately - 18.5inches wide, 26 inches height, 19 inches depth (it also comes with a wooden stand to sit on, which including the cage would be about 55 inches height in total). Along with any accessories/sensory toys/food/etc that we currently have for him. Although we need to rehome him asap, we want to make sure he is with the right family! He's a big character in a small body! As he was originally a rescue when we got him over 8 years ago, he is a little standoffish but is able to step up onto fingers (he just doesn't like being handled/held for long). Although he is quite sassy, he is a sweetie once he warms up to you. He is used to being able to fly in the room where he lives at home, so please only reach out if you can allow him this kind of exercise. We do not want him going to a home where he will be kept in a cage all the time. He's really good at going back into his cage himself when it's approaching bedtime. As such, we are looking to rehome to a family who has experience with keeping small birds, to ensure his ongoing happiness, comfort and care.
