Description
Our beautiful boy is a Springer Patterdale mix. He is a very smart, happy, excitable, energetic boy who loves the outdoors, playing fetch and being in water! He also loves his people and a good snuggle on the couch. He loves to take socks, underwear, slippers...any item of clothing really and snuggling with it in his bed! He knows all of his commands, his recall is good, but gets distracted very easily if a yummy treat isn't on the go as a reward! He is very food oriented and currently gets fed a mix of dry and wet twice a day. We unfortunately have made this extremely difficult decision because we have noticed a few times he has snapped in the air at our five year old son when he is being loud or boisterous. As if to warn him. No growling and has never bit anyone. He has never done it with us or our nine or 12 year old. Now this is very out of character for him as he is the softest dog with all our boys usually. He loves acting crazy with them and play fighting with them. He loves other dogs and is always the friendliest dog on the walk or field. However when my son has been sitting next to him and has got excited about something, he has done a warning snap at him. And it's something we just can't stop thinking about and don't want to risk. Obviously we can't stop a five year old being excited or loud. We are devastated and heart broken to be making this ad. He really is the best boy. If you are interested in Tawny he will make you the happiest dog mam or dad. We don't want any money for him, just to make sure he goes to a great family who will love him so much.
