Obi isn't one of them.
Obi is more like a quiet Sunday morning, a warm cup of tea, and the peaceful sound of birds in the garden. ❤️
At 5 years old and around 35kg (he says he's just "extra cuddly" but we think a few less treats wouldn't hurt! 🍖😂), Obi is looking for a very special family who will love him exactly as he is.
This handsome boy doesn't ask for much. A secure garden where he can happily spend hours outside, rain or shine. A comfy crate he can retreat to when life feels a bit overwhelming. Plenty of tasty snacks (his absolute favourite thing!) and, most importantly... people who understand that trust isn't something he gives away overnight.
Obi is a sensitive soul. New people make him nervous and he'll never be the dog who rushes over to greet every visitor. He likes to take his time, watch from afar and decide when he feels safe. Once you're in his circle, you'll discover the sweetest, gentlest boy who absolutely loves a fuss.
We're looking for an adult-only home, or one with sensible older children who understand that Obi sometimes needs his own space and will happily let him come to them in his own time.
Obi is still learning that leads and walks aren't scary, so he'll need a patient family willing to continue his training without rushing him. He'll also need a confident resident dog to help show him the ropes, although tiny dogs aren't really his cup of tea.
His dream home also includes:

🐾 Patient humans with lots of love and realistic expectations
The good news? Obi is clean overnight, crate trained, lives happily with two cats, doesn't bother with toys, has the loveliest temperament, and simply wants a calm life where he can finally relax and be himself.
One little quirk... convincing Obi that garden time is over can be a bit of a negotiation! If you've ever tried to persuade someone to leave a spa on a sunny afternoon, you'll understand. 😄 It will take patience and consistency, but this gentle giant is worth every minute.
Obi is currently in foster in **Cambridge** and is searching urgently for the forever home he's waited so patiently for.
