About Me I am a stunning, loving, and incredibly bright 9-month-old border collie X (Unknown), who is looking for a specialized new chapter. True to my breed, I am micro-programmed to work, learn, and react to movement. I am highly trainable and eager to learn, but because the outside world moves a bit too fast for me right now, I have developed quite a bit of reactivity toward children, cyclists, runners, and passing cars. When I see them, my herding instincts and adolescent big feelings take over, and I find it very hard to switch off. For this reason, a busy suburban or urban life isn't fair to me. I need a calm, predictable environment where I don't have to face these triggers on a daily basis. Inside the home, I am a total joy—fully house-trained, deeply affectionate, and I absolutely adore adults and every other type of dog. I was also brought up with two guinea pigs and two rabbits who I adored and was never reactive towards. My Ideal Match Adults Only: I need a calm, mature household where I can soak up all the attention from the adults I love, without the unpredictable movements of children. I need to be in a home with adults who do not have children in the house and who are not planning on having children in the future. Rural Space: A home in a rural area with plenty of land on or right by the property so I can exercise safely without encountering traffic or busy footpaths. A Canine Mentor: I would absolutely thrive if paired with another balanced, resident border collie. Because I get along so famously with other dogs, having a breed-matched companion will help me learn how to simply "be a dog," channel my natural instincts productively, and give me a playmate who speaks my language. I have so much potential, love, and intelligence to give to a handler who understands working breeds, uses positive reinforcement, and can give me the quiet, open space my mind desperately craves. BE PREPPARED TO BE THOROUGHLY VETTED. MY OWNERS ARE NOT WILLING TO REHOME ME TO ANY INDIVIDUAL, I HAVE SPECIFIC AND EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NEEDS.
