🔄 UPDATE – MYLA IS BACK WITH HER FOSTER
Myla received a huge amount of interest when we first announced her and very quickly went to what we genuinely thought would be her forever home. It sounded perfect: dog-loving adults, dog-savvy children, a resident dog and somebody home almost all the time. ❤️
Unfortunately, something nobody expected happened — the resident dog simply wasn't happy sharing his home.
What began with guarding space, the sofa and his humans gradually escalated into chasing Myla away even when she kept her distance, preventing her from coming near the sofa or people, and eventually starting fights.
And what could tiny Myla do? She was the newcomer in a completely unfamiliar home, trying to find her place while the resident dog was making it very clear that he didn't want to share it. 💔
So the trial was stopped, and Myla is now safely back with the SAME foster who knows and loves her. This wasn't Myla doing something wrong, nor does it make the resident dog a bad dog — sometimes even a match that looks perfect simply doesn't work once dogs begin sharing the same home.
🐾 Meet Myla (Shyla)
Myla is a 7-8-month-old, tiny Pekingese cross girl — but don't mistake tiny for timid! 😁 She is confident, curious, funny, affectionate and packed with personality.
Her foster described her as “the easiest puppy we’ve ever come across” — grounded, calm, loving, inquisitive and bold. She adores people, gives kisses freely and approaches the world with wonderful confidence. ❤️

• SPAYED: Not yet due to young age – recommended after first season (spay agreement applies)

• DOGS: Great with friendly dogs outside; at home needs a carefully matched, confident and well-balanced dog – not a tiny/submissive dog
• CATS: Unknown – potentially with sensible introductions and a dog-savvy cat
• CHILDREN: Good – preferably 8+ due to her tiny size
• HOME LIFE: Fully house-trained • Sleeps through the night • No destruction seen in foster
• WALKS: Excellent on lead – no pulling or reacting
🐾 More About Myla
Back in foster, Myla has previously lived successfully alongside adult dogs. She especially adores and respects confident medium-sized dogs.
She can have a little bossy/jealous streak around human attention, particularly with smaller or more submissive dogs, so any resident dog needs to be the RIGHT match. She could also be considered as the only dog in a home where her humans are around most of the time.
Myla isn't hyperactive. She enjoys adventures, exploring the garden and walks, but settles beautifully too. And she still takes her important position as Chief Moth Hunter extremely seriously — moths, flies and bugs beware! 😂🦋
🏡 Ideal Home
Myla would love an active, dog-loving family with plenty of time for her. She is very much a companion girl and would particularly suit a home where somebody is around for much of the day.
A secure private grassy garden would be wonderful. She can live with children, preferably 8+, and potentially with a suitable confident, friendly resident dog after careful matching.
She may look like an impossibly cute little toy, but Myla is a real dog with a BIG personality. We want a family who will love that personality, enjoy adventures with her and make her a genuine part of their lives. ❤️
💞 Myla has already had one false start. We hope the next time she packs her tiny suitcase, it really will be for forever. 🏡❤️
🩺 Health Information
Myla is healthy, vaccinated and microchipped. She is not yet spayed due to her young age; spaying is recommended after her first season and a spay agreement applies.
All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (approved laboratory certificate provided).
