Maddie is looking for her forever home!
It breaks my heart to write this, but I'm looking for the right forever home for my beautiful girl, Maddie
Maddie is full of love, personality and energy. She absolutely loves people, attention and being around her family and is a very affectionate girl who just wants to be involved in everything.
About Maddie:
Very affectionate and people-loving
Energetic and playful
Good with children she currently lives with my children aged 8 and 13
Crate trained
Mostly house trained as she has access to garden most of the time
No known health issues
Gets along with my cat and plays with her, although Maddie sometimes forgets just how small she is!
She would ideally be the only dog in the home, as this is what she is used to. She can be around other dogs but would need slow, careful introductions.
Maddie does still need some training and consistency, particularly with walking on the lead and recall. Her recall isn't reliable when there are distractions, so she needs someone who is willing to continue working with her and give her the structure she needs. She would also benefit from some help with socialising around other dogs.
The reason I'm looking for a new home for Maddie is not because of anything she has done. I've had to increase my hours at work, which means she is now being left home alone for longer than I feel is fair for her. She is a dog who thrives on company, attention and interaction, and I want to put her needs first and give her the opportunity to have the life she deserves.
I'm looking for a loving, committed and responsible home where Maddie will be treated as part of the family and where someone has the time, patience and energy to continue her training and give her plenty of exercise and attention.
Ideally, I'd like her to go to a home where she is the only dog, although I wouldn't completely rule out another dog if the right match and careful introductions were possible.
This is an incredibly difficult decision, so please only enquire if you are genuinely able to commit to Maddie for the rest of her life. I will want to make sure she is going to the right home rather than simply the first available home.
She has so much love to give and deserves someone who has the time to give that love back.
