Description
Fonzy was rescued from a public (killing) shelter, where his little life was hanging by a thread.
He was far too young and far too small to end up in such a terrifying place.
Today he is safe with us and you can meet him anytime in our place - NG14 6NY. He looks at the world with soft, hopeful eyes… as if he is finally beginning to believe that life can be kind.
He is a tiny boy with a warm heart, grateful for every gentle look.
Fonzy is ready to leave his past behind and discover what it truly means to be loved.

🧬 Type: Dachshund (Teckel) mix – small, compact and soft-natured

Personality:
Fonzy is a sweet, gentle and very affectionate little lad.
He loves closeness, seeks contact by himself, and trusts surprisingly quickly for a dog who has had such a hard start in life.
He also enjoys the company of other dogs and is delighted to play or walk alongside them.
He is:
social and loving without being pushy
sensitive and soft-hearted
warm in energy, calm indoors and curious outdoors
a true “people dog” who loves being near you
His little face, soft expression and cheerful, compact body make him absolutely irresistible.

Friends InDeed is a registered charity, and a home check (online if needed) is required for every adoption.
We place our dogs only with genuine dog lovers who can offer a safe, securely fenced garden and no children under 10 years of age.
Our dogs are family pets – not working, therapy or assistance dogs.
After adoption, we remain available for ongoing support.
WhatsApp or phone is the easiest way to communicate, and we can arrange a video call if you would like to meet Fonzy “live”.
We are a transparent rescue, actively involved in sterilisation programmes and the rehoming of dogs into permanent, loving homes.
Adoption costs may vary depending on circumstances.
We have more than 500 happy families in the UK who can provide references.

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
